the market for them is growing.
However today's young women know much less about local plants than their
grandmothers did. Thus as the knowledge of these plants decline from generation to
generation, in the hope of preserving this knowledge and practices of indigenous food
plant varieties, work has been undertaken for the documentation and dissemination of
information.
